Kale x Gold

Pantone’s kale green seems to be making it big this year and truth be told I’m lovin’ it! Kale is quite like an olive green. Olive is more towards brown whereas kale is more on the green end of the palette.

[Spoiler alert- I got a haircut!]

So, I put my designer skills to work and made a satin mermaid gown. I didn’t have any mermaid gowns so I figured why not? The color has such a glamorous appeal in satin! Its perfect to wear to evening parties especially when complimented with some gold ✨

I also added a sash that I wrapped around my neck so it looked like a choker. Gold embellished peep-toes to add height (or I’d be stumbling on my hem..no thanks 🙏) I made sure not to over-accessorize so I don’t steal my dress’s thunder.

Gold toned rings, long fringe earrings and a statement bangle or cuff will do the job with panache! I kept my nail color subtle. Here I’m wearing an Estee Lauder G8 Nudité.

I’m not a user of foundations and concealers as you may have read in my earlier posts. However, I do love those stunning contouring techniques on beauty blogs. So, I tried contouring using blush and I think it worked quite alright. What do you think? Thick strokes of  black eyeliner for that dramatic look and a natural pink Lancôme 290 Poême (you can check out my review of it here ) to balance the complete look.
